The JAMB 2022 result is out and students can now start checking their results. the joint admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) authority recently announced that jamb candidates that took part in the 2022 JAMB can now start checking their results.
Who is this Update Applicable to?
All Candidates that participated in the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted between Saturday, May the 6th and Sunday, May the 15th, 2022 can now check their results online through the jamb website or via SMS.
At the time of writing this article, you can only check your result through an SMS shortcode which is described in this article.

How to Check JAMB 2022 Result
Candidates can check their JAMB results online through the JAMB portal or via SMS using JAMB shortcodes.
Checking through the JAMB website is free and all that is required is an internet-enabled device/computer and your jamb registration number.
Candidates who however chose to check through SMS should be aware that it attracts SMS charges depending on your network provider.
Follow the steps below to check your result
Check JAMB Result Online (on JAMB portal – jamb.gov.ng)
- Visit the JAMB result checking portal via https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/eFacility_/CheckUTMEResults
- Log in and select the JAMB checker
- Then enter your Registration Number/Phone Number
- Click on Check My Results then wait for your result to come up.

How to Check JAMB 2022 Result via SMS
To check your result via SMS,
- Simply send UTMERESULT (without spacing) to 55019 or 66019 using the same number used for your JAMB registration
- Note that you must have a credit balance of at least N50 on your line.
- Your result would be replied to you as an SMS shortly after.
Some possible responses to be expected when you request your result;
- Candidates with their results ready will receive the message: “Dear Mr/Miss X, your result is as follows… .
- If a candidate uses a phone number that was not used to register, you will get a response that: ‘This phone number was not used for registration.”
- “Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall” will be sent to a candidate who gained unauthorized access to the examination hall.
- A candidate whose results are withheld would get a response with “Result Withheld”

Note that the JAMB result slip costs N1,000 .
- Simply go to the JAMB E-facility portal, log in and follow due procedure in order to print your JAMB result.

Yes. You can acheck your result on phone through SMS or online if you have internet-enabled device
How long will it take before I check my JAMB result after the exam?
According to JAMB, candidates that participated in the 2022 UTME will be able to check their results a few hours after their exam. Candidates are advised to follow the procedure outlined above to check their results.
Will I need a scratch card to check my UTME result?
No scratch card is required to check the 2022 JAMB result. Checking of JAMB NOTIFICATION of result is FREE!
